This is a shimmer ink and works best on 110 mesh screens and lower. Tri-Flex 1100 Series plastisol inks are formulated for direct printing on athletic and leisure garments such as t-shirts, polos, hoodies, etc. These high quality screen printing inks can also be used for the manufacture of plastisol transfers. For direct prints, knit and woven T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, fleece goods, and bandanna stock may all be used. All popular types of transfer release papers may be used to produce cold peel transfers.
Curing:
Triangle plastisol inks cure at a temperature of 315° F to 330°F depending on ink deposit, fabric type, ink color and dryer efficiency. Failure to properly cure is the primary reason for ink adhesion failure. Thick ink deposits require more energy (longer dwell time) to cure. Dark colors absorb heat and cure faster than light colors. Colors which reflect heat like metallics, glitters and shimmers also require more energy to properly cure.
I ordered this to print black in a school logo. I had to mix this with plastisol black to get it dark enough to work for what I needed. It would've been nice if the label was Gunmetal Gray instead of Gunmetal black.

Pleased with performance
While I was not sure what gunmetal black actually would look like I purchased this ink anyway. It is a dark metallic gray.
It printed well and has a nice shimmer.

Not very dark
I thought this ink would be a darker shade of grey - it's called gunmetal black after all - but it is more of a light sports grey color.

Really great
Easy to use and mix in to black for a shimmer black look. Which it came in low cure.
