18x20in Pre-Burned Screen
Our 18x20 pre-burned screens have a 10"x12" max image area. Recommended for DIY printers not using a press and not needing oversize prints.
Multiple images can be burned on a screen as long as they all fit within the 10”x12” max image area.
All our pre-burned screens come stretched on heavy duty aluminum frames, and are carefully packaged to ensure a safe arrival. Simply open your box, tape up the edges, and get printing.
Pre-burned screens typically last for thousands of prints, and adding hardener will make them last even longer. Make sure to store your pre-burned screen somewhere safe from sharp objects, sources of extreme heat, and only use appropriate screen printing cleaners.
Final film output/screen size may vary by 1/8".
Mesh Counts
110 Mesh - Great for printing with white and other thick inks. Not recommended for thinner water based inks.
160 Mesh - Works well with a variety of ink types and substrates. Most popular mesh count for our pre-burned screens.
230 Mesh - Most commonly used for high detail artwork. Also great for printing on paper or sanded wood.
In general, a lower mesh count will lay down a thicker layer of ink and hold less detail. A finer or higher mesh count will lay down a thinner layer of ink and hold more fine detail.
Emulsion Types
TX-D (pink) emulsion holds up extremely well to plastisol, water based and discharge inks.
HXT (blue) emulsion is recommended for printing with solvent, enamel or uv inks.
Adding hardener to your pre-burned screen makes the emulsion extremely durable and difficult to reclaim.
